What is an AstroBox?

An AstroBox allows you to connect you compatible 3D Printer to the AstroPrint Cloud. The box needs an internet connection (via Ethernet or WiFi) and an USB cable connected to the 3D printer.

The software on the box is designed to be accessed via another device's web browser. This device needs to be connected to the same network as the AstroBox or (if the AstroBox is not yet configured), to the WiFi hotspot emitted by it (network id astrobox-xxxx where xxxx is 4 random numbers).

You can use the following steps to setup your AstroBox Kit:

Step 1 - Assemble

Assemble your AstroBox Kit using the assembly guide. Depending on your country, your AstroBox might already be assembled.

Step 2 - Setup

Establish communication with the box via its hotspot using any device with a browser so that you can follow the on-screen wizzard to setup your AstroBox.
